In today’s course, we studied some brands and made a pyramid of fashion trends. Our group chose Nike as our research brand. The discussion process was very interesting because we all like Nike, but when teacher asked us to name the types of Nike products, we only knew a few names, so we found through Nike’s official website that it has a very wide range of products, different categories with different names, which made me understand that a successful brand not only consider the quality of products but also pay attention to the distribution of product categories and the proportion of each category. So we use the pyramid method to show the proportion of each type of Nike, which is of great help in establishing target customers.
Next, we made a sales mind map of sunglasses. First, we determined the age range of our target customers. Then we judged the products that customers might choose based on their preferences and consumption level. In this link, our group were very actively, because everyone had different ideas. I think analysis the customer information was a very interesting thing. It stirred the imagination of us and made us boldly guess what type of glasses they would like. It may not be the right choice, but every choice needs reasons. This might is the charm of business.
Although I am not interested in the business approach, I do believe that everything we learn in these courses will be very helpful, because every part of fashion is related, and the kind of information I am learning now may be helpful for my future career.
